Shot With iPhone

A technique I like to use with my iPhone is to play around with the lighting by adjusting the brightness. When tapping on the screen to focus the camera, a slider with a sun icon pops up. That sun can be dragged up to increase the brightness or down to decrease the brightness of the shot. I usually tend to drag the sun icon downwards to intensify the shadowing in order to create a darker ambiance in my images. I find that this adds more depth and drama to the image which brings out the life captured within these still moments in time.
